Пенсионер, некогда популярный актер кино, доведенный до отчаяния, решает свести счеты с жизнью. Но напоследок хочет привести себя в порядок и идет в модный барбершоп. Там ему, конечно же, наливают, после чего его тянет на последние в своей жизни приключения. Но неожиданно в одном из клубов главный герой знакомится с девушкой, охотницей на «папиков», которая принимает его за успешного миллионера…
Фильм рассказывает о сложных взаимоотношениях человека и волка, о желании познать и понять природу этого необыкновенного зверя, к которому на протяжении веков менялось отношение человека. Человек всегда сурово карал волка за его пригрешения, но в последнее время мы — сытые, обутые, одетые — стали задумываться над тем, что делаем сами. Волк, как очень интересный биологический вид, как живой регулятор равновесия в природе, все больше и больше стал привлекать внимание ученых. Не будем говорить о всем человечестве, но отдельные знающие люди давно прониклись к нему уважением и симпатией. И даже охотники закрепили за волком право на жизнь. Съемки фильма проводились на базе заповедника «Красный Бор» Витебской области. В съемках принимали участие: зоолог Дмитрий Шамович, его волк Бой и маленькие волчата.
