Действие первой части фильма «Александровский сад» — «Три дня в Одессе» разворачивается летом 1947 года. Легендарный город захлестнула послевоенная волна бандитизма. Уголовный розыск не в силах справиться с беспределом. Командующий Одесским военным округом маршал Жуков решает провести масштабную трехдневную «зачистку» города от бандитов. Но планы военных путает появившийся в городе особо опасный преступник по кличке «Бухгалтер». По имеющимся сведениям он является сотрудником МГБ и охотится за картотекой оккупационной румынской полиции, в которой фигурирует его фамилия. Как выглядит преступник, не знает никто. Татьяна и Алексей Казарины становятся непосредственными участниками этих событий…
Действие второй части фильма под названием «Гибель команды» происходит в 1948 году. Корреспондент газеты «Комсомольская правда» Татьяна Казарина получает задание написать статью о действующей в блокадном Ленинграде шайке преступников, которая, пользуясь бедственным положением умирающих от голода людей, скупала за бесценок частные коллекции картин и антиквариата. Нити преступления тянутся в Москву к известной певице Лидии Бодровой. По странному стечению обстоятельств именно в это время мужа певицы, генерала Коршунова, находят убитым в квартире его любовницы. Курировать следствие по этому делу поручается помощнику коменданта Кремля по особым поручениям Алексею Казарину…
