Исследователи изучили затопленную во времена Второй мировой войны в двух километрах от берега американскую подводную лодку Herring. Для изучения субмарины к ней на стометровую глубину спускался обитаемый подводный аппарат с водолазами. Также во время экспедиции были исследованы японские тоннели и подземные ходы.

Im 3.Reich wurde es militärisch genutzt, nach dem Krieg zuerst von der Roten Armee und später von der NVA, dann verfiel es zunehmend.
Die Gebäudekomplexe zogen sich einst über eine Länge von 4,4 Km, nur durch einen schmalen Waldstreifen vom breiten Sandstrand der Ostsee getrennt, dahin.
Heute ist ein Teil verfallen und einige wenige Abschnitte werden genutzt. Im Moment scheint der Ausbau und die Renovierung weiter zu gehen.

Prora is a beach resort on the island of Rügen, Germany, known especially for its colossal Nazi-planned tourist structures. The massive building complex was built between 1936 and 1939 as a Strength Through Joy (Kraft durch Freude or KdF) project. The eight buildings are identical, and although they were planned as a holiday resort, they were never used for this purpose. The complex has a formal heritage listing as a particularly striking example of Third Reich architecture.
