О фильме
В Японии 135 миллионов жителей — почти столько же, сколько в России. Как они все располагаются на этих островах? Какие факторы формируют японский характер? Откуда берутся их огромные усердие и выносливость? Где корни японского экономического чуда и технологического прорыва, который страна сделала после Второй мировой войны? Какова жизнь современного японца — что он ест, как отдыхает? Каковы его ценности? И о чём он мечтает?
Главными героями этого фильма являются как высокопоставленные чиновники, так и простые люди — рыбаки Хоккайдо, ремесленники Киото, офисные работники в Токио, семья бывшего премьер-министра Юкио Хатояма.
“Multifaceted Japan” is a film that shows various aspects of life in Japan and the Japanese — their culture and religion, their attitude to nature and work, the modern and the traditional Japan.
The script was written by Professor Panov, the former Ambassador of the Russian Federation in Japan and the Head of the Diplomacy Faculty of MGIMO. The Director is Marina Kireeva, the Editor and Head of Content Production at Ostankino TV, the Producer is Olga Monakhova, the Director of the International Chodiev Foundation.
The film was first broadcast on the Russian TV channel ‘Culture’ at 12.30 on 22 September 2018.
The film was created with the support of the International Chodiev Foundation, the charitable foundation established by Dr Patokh Chodiev.
About the film
There are about 135 million Japanese people — almost as many as there are Russians. How do they all fit on these islands? What factors shape the Japanese character? Where does their tremendous diligence and endurance come from? Where are the roots of the Japanese economic miracle and the technological breakthrough that the country made after the Second World War? What is the life of a modern Japanese — what does he eat? How does he rest? What are his values? And what does he dream about?
The main protagonists of this film are both high-ranking officials and ordinary people – Hokkaido fishermen, Kyoto artisans, Tokyo office employees, the family of the former Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama.
