Аня решает ждать любимого, в тяжелой ситуации ее поддерживает друг Алексея – Саша, давно и безнадежно влюбленный в Аню.

Здесь говорят, что при таких природных богатствах на душу населения, местные должны были бы жить, как в Арабских Эмиратах. Но все наоборот. Советское индустриальное прошлое стоит в руинах. Тем, кому повезло не быть безработным, получают самые высокие по всей стране зарплаты, но однако цены на острове высокие, поэтому сахалинцы живут морем. Но и в этом государство их ограничивает. Ловить можно не все и не везде. Однако ни штрафы, ни даже уголовная ответственность не останавливают жителей Сахалина. Эта история о том, как люди выживают на острове, где всё есть, но ничего нельзя.
